2. Personal Data We Process
We only process personal information that you voluntarily provide
when you contact us. This includes details such as your name,
company, email address, phone number, and the content of your
message. You submit this information either via the contact form on
this website or by emailing us directly.
When you access the website, our hosting provider automatically
creates standard server log files (IP address, timestamp, browser,
and requested resource) to maintain operational security. These logs
are stored separately from inquiry data and are automatically
deleted after a short retention period unless required for
troubleshooting or legal obligations.
3. Purpose and Legal Basis
We process your data to respond to your inquiry, maintain the
conversation you initiated, and protect the contact channel from
automated abuse. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in
providing the requested information and safeguarding our services
(Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) as well as pre-contractual communication where
applicable (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data
Protection (FADP), Art. 31 para. 1–2, the same processing is
necessary to fulfil your request and protect overriding private
interests. Where local law requires consent for essential cookies,
we rely on the preference you express in the cookie banner.
4. Technical Cookies and Security Services
This website does not use analytics services, marketing pixels, or
profiling tools. We only deploy technical measures needed to run the
site and the contact form. Google reCAPTCHA sets strictly necessary
security cookies and collects device data (such as IP address,
browser information, and interaction data) to distinguish legitimate
inquiries from automated misuse. These cookies originate from
Google’s infrastructure and are not used for advertising on this
site.
5. Data Recipients and Transfers
We use two trusted service providers solely to handle contact
requests: EmailJS (EmailJS Inc., EU/US) transmits your message to us
via secure infrastructure, and Google reCAPTCHA (Google LLC, USA)
analyses interaction patterns to prevent spam. EmailJS acts as our
processor under contractual safeguards. Google reCAPTCHA operates as
an independent controller under Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of
Service. Both providers may process data in the United States or
other countries based on standard contractual clauses or adequacy
decisions recognised in Switzerland and the EU.
6. Storage Duration
We retain your message history only for as long as necessary to
address your request and any ensuing correspondence. Once the matter
is resolved, the conversation is periodically reviewed and deleted
unless legal retention obligations require a longer retention
period.
7. Security Measures
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect
your communications against unauthorised access, accidental loss, or
misuse. Access to incoming inquiries is restricted to Michael Hofer.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold
about you, to correct inaccuracies, to request deletion, to restrict
processing, to object to processing, and to receive a copy of the
data you provided in a structured, commonly used format. Where
